Santa Clara County votes to ban plastic carryout bags (and charge 15 cents for paper bags)

Today, the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors voted to ban plastic bags (and charge 15 cents for "green" paper bags) in unincorporated areas of Santa Clara County by a vote of 4-1. The ordinance was adopted in a accordance with a negative declaration under CEQA.
