Save the Plastic Bag Coalition v. Marin County hearing scheduled for September 13th, documents posted

The hearing on Save the Plastic Bag Coalition's Petition for Writ of Mandate Under CEQA (to force Marin County to complete an EIR for its plastic bag ordinance) is scheduled for September 13th at 9 a.m. in Marin County Superior Court Dept L. In the wake of Manhattan's Beach's win in the California Supreme Court based on a Negative Declaration, this case will test whether a Categorical Exemption is adequate for a "second generation" plastic bag ban that includes a charge on paper bags.

We applaud Marin County for its efforts and look forward to the hearing.
